Anne G. Sabo (Anne Sæbø), Ph.D., is an academic slash public educator, blogger, and author. A native Norwegian, she has lived in the US for a substantial part of her life, earning both her M.A. and Ph.D. from University of Washington, and working as a college professor for ten years after that, teaching courses in literature, film, and women’s studies.

Her book After Pornified: How Women Are Transforming Pornography & Why It Really Matters (Zer0 Books, October 2012) has been rated a bestselling title on feminism. It has been reviewed “a goldmine for all sex-positive women and men,” and a “candid, well-informed personal story of how a good girl became involved in porn.” Based on more than ten years of research, After Pornified looks at the empowering potential of transformed feminist porn to free our minds and bodies from the demeaning imageries of our sex in today's sexualized culture and pornified media.

Sabo currently lives in Oslo, Norway with her daughter, working at the University of Oslo Library as the subject specialist in Scandinavian Studies and Gender Research.
